HELLO, MY NAME IS

Paolo Siapno!

I am a soon-to-be graduate of Red River College Polytech’s Digital Media Design - Video & Motion Graphics Program. I specialize in editing, colour grading, VFX compositing, and motion design.Have a look at some of my work!

LOW-POLY TOFU DRIFT

I used Cinema 4D to create and animate low-poly models of the Toyota AE86 as well as a Japanese tofu shop. I added motion blur in Adobe After Effects and then added colour grading and sound effects in Premiere Pro.

ISOMETRIC LETTER OF THE FUTURE

In Cinema 4D, I used the letter "Z" as a basis to construct and animate a futuristic building along with its environment. I pulled inspiration from eco-brutalist architecture. Motion blur was added in After Effects and sound effects were added in Premiere Pro.

THE BODY SHOP - LOGO ANIMATION

Using Adobe Illustrator to construct the elements, and After Effects to animate, I created this logo animation for The Body Shop, strictly adhering to their brand guidelines. It is meant to be used at the end of a video as an outro.

TIKTOK USERS - EXPLAINER VIDEO

Using Cinema 4D, Adobe Illustrator, and After Effects, I created an explainer video that reports on the count of TikTok's massive user base. This animation blends the use of 3D animation with 2D animation.

An artist profile of Jared Bautista, a Winnipeg-based DJ. This profile was directed and shot by myself. I used After Effects to create the motion graphics and put everything together in Premiere Pro, where I added colour grading and sound mixing.

One Falls First - SHORT FILM

It's inevitable...A victim of love and a victim of heartbreak both reflect on their respective romantic situations.Written, directed, and edited by myself, this was made as a final project for my semester with Sisler's CREATE program.I used After Effects to paint out logos and did editing and colour grading in Premiere Pro,

Hey! I'm a student in Red River College Polytech’s Digital Media Design - Video/Motion Graphics Program.Growing up in the early days of YouTube inspired me to get out and create with what was available to me. As the years went on, I grew to love the feeling of creating meaningful content, and the euphoria of executing my vision as I saw it in my mind.As I continue in my career, I hope to use my skills in editing, colour grading, VFX compositing, and motion design to bring this same inspiration to others in any capacity.I love the ability that media has to change and inspire us. When I'm not creating, you can find me enjoying the creations of others, whether that's endlessly scrolling through TikTok, cracking down on my Letterboxd watchlist, or discovering new music while on a walk!
